Time To Celebrate

Today was Illinois' Save Abanonded Babies Day. We honored the hardwork of the Save Abanonded Babies Foundation and all it has accomplished. Since the Save Haven Law went into effect in 2001, 31 newborns have been safely relinquished to safe havens across the state. I have met some of these children who are amazing little beings.

To celebrate, the artwork of three Chicago high school students was selected and the artists were given cash awards as were the schools they attend. The students created posters about the Safe Haven Law. They are such creative young minds! I had the priviledge of giving them the awards.

To our favorite Beauty Queen,
Thanks so much for being a part of the Safe Haven Day celebration! As my 3 year old son says, "Ya gotta SAVE the BABIES!"

Best of luck in Vegas - we're rooting for you!

Not only are you beautiful on the outside, on the inside where it matter more your beauty is without measure.

The work that you are doing to help prevent illegal infant abandonment is awesome. By talking about the safe, legal option of turning in a baby into a Safe Haven so many more will be saved. And the parents will know their baby will be loved and cherished in their new adoptive home.
